PRACTICAL HEALTH HABITS

My Coaching Perspective

Cindy Wade LeMoine

In 1998 having taught and trained adults in the fitness industry for six years, I found that the models I followed did not work for real transformation. As it turned out, watching people work out when you tell them to do so does not translate to intrinsic change, or inner motivation. It is an extrinsic exercise that creates a temporary response simply because you are there.

There came a time for reassessment and as a result I decided to go back to college. Having then graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education at the age of 38, it was in teaching children, grades P3-12 that my approach to training evolved into a coaching perspective which formed from a framework of simplicity-give instructions (necessary with children), explain the process, and ask a lot of questions that would lead them to their own conclusions as to why it was important. So, though I coach adults now, my approach remains the same.

Now, as to why I do what I do. We do not always apply what we know concerning our health and well-being. Depending on the season of our lives, it can be easy to turn to distractions that help us feel better in the moment but have little to do with good outcomes. I have been there and that is why I am here.

I offer group packages because sometimes forming small communities of four or six people can help us feel less alone; we find safety, maybe for the first time ever and it opens up growth and change toward those good outcomes I mentioned. That is why I am here. If any of this resonates with you, fill out my contact page and, if you have questions, email me at heartofawoman58@gmail.com and I will get back with you!

About Me

I am a wife, mother, and Grammy to two beautiful grandchildren, Sawyer and Amelia. I have lived in Fairhope, Alabama for the past thirty-six years. I have been married to my husband, Tracy LeMoine for that same length of time.

I have a background in physical fitness and have held certifications in Aerobics (AFAA), Step Aerobics (AFAA), Personal Training (ACE), Health Coach (ACE), and Zumba. I have a BS in Physical Education from the University of South Alabama.

I was a small business owner for ten years-Patient Request Medical Uniforms in Daphne, Alabama-where I met many women who were beautiful, interesting, resilient, and strong. It was after I closed the business due to an illness that I began to write and that led into the story of the last ten plus years.
